Find out how Ignis is helping farms and other businesses achieve long-term cost savings and reduce their carbon output.

Warren Farm

Warren Farm is home to an extensive Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant development installed by David and Trisha Parry, whose operations range from arable farming to chicken rearing. David is considered to be a leader when it comes to renewables and is always at the forefront of new technologies. After detailed research, he selected the ArborElectrogen system to complement the existing AD plant.

David and Trisha had the foresight to allow for extra capacity in both the export grid connection and the heat exchanger to allow for a small scale advanced gasification system to further their investment in renewables. With a maximum of 50kW spare export and 100kW thermal capacity spare, the ArborElectrogen45 was the perfect fit.

Grove Farm

Just over the Welsh border from England, Grove Farm is home to Andrew and Jackie Powell, cattle livestock breeders and free range chicken farmers. They had previously invested in biomass boilers to provide renewable heat to the farm, but with the expansion of their business and increased costs of energy they were looking for a technology that provided both renewable heat and power. After extensive research they found the ArborElectrogen® system was the best system to do the job they required and provide the long term reliability and automation so they could focus on their core business.

The electricity is used on the farm to reduce the energy costs and any surplus is exported to the grid.
